What is makhana?
Makhana (fox nuts) are seeds of the lotus plant, cultivated primarily in Bihar, India. They have been a traditional Indian superfood for centuries — rich in protein, low in fat, and naturally gluten-free.
How is DesiPops different from regular makhana?
We slow-roast our makhana with premium desi ghee or olive oil (never fried) and season it with our signature spice blends. The result is a bold, crunchy, flavour-packed snack you won't find in regular store-bought makhana.
Are your products suitable for vegetarians?
Yes! All DesiPops products are 100% vegetarian, gluten-free, and made with no artificial colours or preservatives.
What is the shelf life?
Each pack has a shelf life of 6 months from the date of manufacture. Store in a cool, dry place and reseal after opening for maximum freshness.
Do you offer Cash on Delivery?
Yes, we offer COD across India. You can also pay via UPI, credit/debit card, or net banking through our secure checkout.
What is your return policy?
If you receive a damaged or incorrect product, contact us within 48 hours at contact@desipops.com. We will arrange a replacement or full refund — no questions asked.

Are your makhana gluten-free and vegan?
All our flavours are 100% gluten-free. Most flavours — Peri Peri Punch, Classic Masala, Himalayan Salt — are vegan. Cream Onion and Cheese Blast contain dairy (milk solids and cheese powder). Each pack carries a clear dietary label so you can check at a glance.
Do your products contain any MSG or artificial colours?
No. We use only natural spices, herbs, and food-grade seasonings. There's no added MSG, no artificial colours, no synthetic preservatives, and no trans fats. Every batch is made in a FSSAI-certified facility.
How should I store my pack after opening?
For maximum crunch, reseal the zip-lock pouch firmly after opening and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Finish within 2 weeks of opening for the best texture. You can also transfer into an airtight jar if you prefer.
Shipping
Do you ship outside India?
Not yet. We currently ship only within India. We're working on international shipping for the Middle East and Southeast Asia — subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to know when it launches.
How fast will my order arrive?
Metros typically receive orders in 3–5 business days and tier-2 cities in 4–6 days. Remote areas and the North-East may take up to 7 business days. You'll get SMS and email tracking updates at every stage.
What are your shipping charges?
Shipping is FREE on all orders above Rs. 499 across India. Orders below Rs. 499 carry a flat Rs. 49 delivery fee. Cash on Delivery adds an additional Rs. 30 handling fee.
Orders
Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
Yes — you can cancel any order before it's handed to the courier, usually within 12–24 hours. Once dispatched, cancellations aren't possible, but you can still return unopened packs within 7 days of delivery.
Do you offer Cash on Delivery?
Yes, COD is available across India on orders up to Rs. 5,000. A small Rs. 30 handling fee applies. We also accept UPI, debit and credit cards, and net banking via our secure Razorpay checkout.
Bulk & B2B
Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?
Absolutely. We offer tiered discounts for bulk orders starting from 50 jars. Pricing is 10% off at 50 jars, 15% off at 100 jars, and 20%+ off at 500 jars. Visit our Bulk Orders page or email orders@desipops.com for a custom quote.
Can I use DesiPops for corporate gifting or wedding favours?
Yes — we love this. We offer custom-branded packaging, curated gift boxes, and personalised notes for corporate gifting, wedding welcome kits, Diwali hampers, and office pantry stocking. Minimum order for custom branding is 100 units. Lead time is 7–10 business days.
Do you stock offices or cafes on a subscription?
Yes. We run a monthly office-pantry subscription that ships a curated mix of all five flavours on the same date every month. Contact orders@desipops.com with your office size and we'll build a plan around your team.

How do I track my order?
Log in to your account and head to the Orders page — you'll see real-time status updates. You'll also receive SMS and email notifications when your order is dispatched and out for delivery.
